Professor Meysam Qadrdan is an EPSRC Innovation Fellow and a Reader in Energy Networks and Systems at Cardiff University.
Meysam conducts fundamental and applied research into the modelling and analysis of integrated energy systems including electricity, gas, heat and hydrogen. He has recently been awarded an EPSRC-UKRI Innovation Fellowship (EP/S001492/1) to investigate maximising flexibility through multi-scale integration of energy systems.
He is the deputy lead of Energy Systems for Heat theme in UKERC 4, and also participates in several other high-profile national and international research projects. Selected relevant projects include: a H2020 project entitled ‘Bringing flexibility provided by multi energy carrier integration to a new magnitude’ (774309) in which he acts as a Co-I and leads a number of tasks concerning simulation of multi-vector energy systems; a NERC-funded project ‘Sustainable Gas Pathways for Brazil’ (NE/N018656/1) in which he is Cardiff’s PI; and FLEXIS project. He is an Associate Editor of the IET Energy Systems Integration journal.
