UKERC researchers at the University of Strathclyde and University of Oxford are exploring how future transport scenarios in the UK could impact energy demand, air quality and social equity.
The questionnaire is aimed at researchers, policymakers, and practitioners with expertise in transport, energy systems, sustainable development or mobility transitions. The purpose of this study is to explore how transport systems in the United Kingdom may evolve under different possible societal pathways to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The research draws on the net zero society scenarios developed by the Government Office for Science (Metropolitan, Slow Lane, Atomised, and Self-Preservation), which describe alternative but plausible futures based on differing levels of social cohesion, trust, economic growth, and technological progress.
The questionnaire below takes around 15 minutes to complete. Responses should be completed by August 4.
