A just energy transition brings together two things: the existential imperative to transition to clean energy and meet net zero targets; and the social imperative to ensure workforces, communities and consumers are not left behind or bearing an unfair cost. Both carry risks to be mitigated and opportunities to be seized.
A wealth of effort is being deployed to understand, enable and accelerate a just energy transition.
We are delighted to be included on the just energy transition ecosystem map, launched this week by ReGenerate and supported by the Energy Ombudsman, part of Ombudsman Services. The map is a big step forward in making essential collaboration easier.
You can access the map here: https://www.re-generate.org/just-energy-transition-map. You can explore the interactive infographic, an open directory, a library of resources and an insights blog. The map spans advisory and support services, research, professional networks, movements, investment groups, government departments and energy companies.
