The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is preparing a Special Report on Climate Change and Cities. The report will provide a comprehensive assessment of the latest scientific knowledge on climate change’s impact on urban areas, as well as potential adaptation and mitigation strategies.
To ensure the report’s comprehensiveness, the IPCC is seeking nominations for Coordinating Lead Authors, Lead Authors, and Review Editors. Experts from a variety of backgrounds, including academia, policymaking, and practice, are encouraged to apply. The selection process emphasizes geographic representation, gender balance, and a mix of experienced and new IPCC contributors.
Individuals interested in contributing to the report should submit their nomination and CV by September 15, 2024. More information on eligibility and the nomination process is available on the IPCC website.
