In recent UKERC Research, we reviewed evidence on long duration electricity storage (LDES) and low carbon dispatchable power (LCDP) to analyse which technologies could be prioritised for innovation funding and delivery by 2030 and 2035, respectively.
Five LDES and five LCDP technologies were identified as the most promising for accelerated innovation.

The list was created through a rapid evidence assessment, expert elicitation, and whole systems energy modelling.
