Late last year we helped host the two-day ECR Net Zero Conference. Hosted by C-DICE, CREDS, ERA, EnergyREV, IDRIC, TFI Network+, UKCCSRC and UKERC, the conference took brought together early career researchers (ECRs) from across the net zero community. It included a mix of keynote speakers, parallel sessions (skills-based and topic based) and a networking dinner.
The conference provided an opportunity for key research organisations and ECRs to meet and network with peers from different research communities within the wider net zero research community, and build a collaborative community.
The conference took place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and was available to attend virtually. In this video, we caught up with three ECR’s at the conference. Abdul’Aziz Aliyu, Matthieu Blondeel and Harriet Bardon were asked for their thoughts on the conference and why these events are so important.
