Funding

he fund is designed to support small activities for university-based Early Career Researchers that either support and develop existing research activities or develop skills. 

Applications should be directed at offshore wind, wave or tidal energy research. Multi-disciplinary or multi-sectoral proposals are welcome. 

• Open to Early Career Researchers who are either: 

• Early Career Academic Staff (less than 3 years from first academic appointment),
• Post-Doctoral Research Assistants.

• Awards of £5000 (at 80% FEC)
• Closes 3 November 2025

Joint applications that bring together early career researchers and industry professionals (at any career stage) are encouraged.
