Energy Systems Nexus brings together the most progressive energy industry leaders with the sector’s brightest minds to define, fund, and deliver a whole systems R&D programme, in pursuit of Net Zero.
A place where our members (such as Amazon, EON, UKNNL):
- raise challenges within whole energy systems R&D that academia can help with
- identify opportunities to use Catapult models and data (e.g. via the SENSE data portal, which provides data for research) to research them
- provide these challenges and letters of support as input into third party funding to help to demonstrate impact pathways and industrial support.
- raise the profile of academic research through the Nexus
The aim is to:
- enhance the chance of successful pitches for 3rd party funding for academics working in areas of interest to our members
- create enhanced relationships between our members and leading academics working on whole energy system approaches to common industry challenges
