The future of energy retail

‘The future of energy retail’ is the first in our series of webinars to focus on topical issues.

On Thursday 22nd, 15.30-16.30, we will be joined by Laura Sandys of Challenging Ideas and a number of panellists to discuss the challenges facing the new energy consumer and retailer.

Drawing on key themes highlighted in the recent ReCosting Energy – Powering for the Future report, it will explore issues such as as those around the optimisation of the system, changes to the customer experience, an increase in the importance and use of data and artificial intelligence, and the need for institutional change.

During this event, to be chaired by UKERC Director Rob Gross, Laura Sandys of Challenging Ideas, will deliver a short presentation, panellists will respond, and the webinar will then open for a Q&A session.

The panellists are:

  • Sarah Keay-Bright (Practice Manager for Policy & Regulation, Energy Systems Catapult)
  • Will Blyth (Researcher, UKERC/Director, Oxford Energy Associates)
  • Jeff Hardy (Senior Research Fellow, The Grantham Institute, Imperial College)
