Westminster Energy, Environment and Transport Forum
This conference will focus on UK hydrogen policy and market development. Planned sessions will examine progress and next steps in areas including demand-side support and business models, as well as delivery across industrial clusters, hydrogen transport schemes, and hydrogen-to-power projects.
Policy developments
It will bring together stakeholders and policymakers to assess priorities following latest UK Hydrogen Strategy updates, the Powering Up Britain package, and associated consultations, such as those on hydrogen blending, transport and infrastructure. The discussion also takes place in the context of the Government’s Infrastructure Strategy and Industrial Strategy, and the £500m commitment for hydrogen transport and storage networks.
Planning, funding & growth
Delegates will assess what will be needed from strategic implementation and funding arrangements to support investor confidence and move projects from planning into delivery. Areas for discussion include coordination between government, regulators and delivery bodies on finance, responsibilities and schedules, and alignment of project plans with Hydrogen Allocation Round 2, looking at eligibility, contracting windows and delivery milestones.
Further discussion is expected on lessons emerging from HAR1, the current shortlist and due-diligence phase, and progress toward Low Carbon Hydrogen Agreements looking at design and terms, including strike price and delivery obligations.
