How do decisions about energy and climate change really get made?

Register for a virtual UCL Energy Institute seminar with guest speaker Guy Newey, Strategy and Performance Director at Energy Systems Catapult.

This talk will look at how Government approaches policy decisions related to energy and climate change, and the importance of networks in those decisions. It will look in detail at the decision to close coal fired power stations in the UK, announced in 2016, and what lessons it might provide for those trying to influence Government policy. The talk will also consider the political dynamics of energy and climate change under the current Government.
