As a Senior Regulatory Environment Officer, you’ll play a direct role in creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment. By continuously improving how we regulate water companies, you’ll ensure that their activities do not harm the environment or people in any way.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering complex regulatory tasks, such as inspections, audits, and incident investigations. You will also provide evidence and technical expertise to support managers, contribute to the development and delivery of our training programmes, and identify best practices to enhance the regulation and performance of water companies.
When water companies fail to comply with legislation, you’ll take enforcement action. In the most serious cases, you may be required to give evidence in court. Additionally, you’ll participate in incident response – a central aspect of our role as regulators. This important work comes with additional pay, training and support, as it requires availability to respond whenever an incident occurs.
