The UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources and the UCL Energy Institute are multidisciplinary, impact-focused institutes that contribute to solving environmental, energy and resource challenges.
You will be a Research Fellow working in the new national hydrogen hub for research challenges in hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels (UK-HyRES). You will work with leading scientists and engineers across the UK to assess the economic opportunities from a range of research projects, considering existing markets and a system perspective for future low-carbon technology needs. You will also work on three hydrogen research projects at UCL as part of the Energy Transitions Modelling Lab. You will learn broad skills from economics and innovation specialists in technology appraisal that will be a good grounding for positions in academia, government or the private sector in the future, including at senior levels. This post is available from 08 January 2024 and is funded for 24 months in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available. Part-time candidates will be considered at a minimum 0.6 FTE. Note that the successful candidate must be based in the UK following their appointment.
