We welcome applications from passionate and skilled researchers to join our team to contribute to developing whole systems frameworks and delivering the techno-economic analysis of Net Zero Hydrogen (H2HZ) ecosystem pathways.
About the Role
The Global Hydrogen Production Technologies (HyPT) Center advances net zero hydrogen technologies sustainably and cost-effectively. You will support policies, economics, and markets, modeling and optimizing hydrogen systems. Join a transdisciplinary team of experts in a vibrant, supportive research environment with cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration opportunities.
You will analyse hydrogen’s interdependencies with energy systems, using model-based (e.g., stochastic optimization) or model-free methods to assess large-scale net-zero hydrogen production. Collaborating with stakeholders, you’ll evaluate techno-economics through case studies in Canada, the USA, and Australia, considering governance and market factors. International travel is likely.
The UK project team involves working with academics from multiple universities to develop an understanding of characteristics of net zero hydrogen technologies to support the whole systems analysis.
