Research Associate in International Transport

Applications are invited for the above position to start as soon as possible to join a vibrant, diverse and inclusive team of interdisciplinary researchers engaged in climate change mitigation projects. This post will have a particular focus on international transport – namely aviation and shipping. The appointed candidate will have the scope to develop new research avenues whilst enhancing and developing research activities within existing projects including one led by Professor Alice Larkin and Dr Amanda Lea-Langton funded by the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) on aviation and shipping fuel supply chains, work involving the Decarbonising Freight Network led by Dr Sarah Mander, as well as EPSRC funded research on port decarbonisation through shore-power and wind-propulsion as an alternative energy source for ships.
