We are currently recruiting for Professors and Readers with expertise, and an interest in, Renewable Energy, Hydrogen Research and Infrastructure to join us.

As a UK leader in renewable energy, Loughborough is at the forefront of hydrogen research, clean energy systems and materials innovation. We’re seeking expertise in the following areas:

  • Renewable Energy: Help us grow our research strengths in energy storage, solar and photovoltaic technologies, smart grids, onshore/offshore wind energy and systems approaches to renewable energy innovation and integration
  • Hydrogen: Be part of developing a hydrogen ecosystem, integrating with regional hydrogen projects to drive the hydrogen economy and market development.
  • Materials for a Sustainable Future: Supporting the National Materials Innovation Strategy.
  • Materials Characterisation: Further strengthening our expertise in advanced materials for renewable energy.
  • Infrastructure resilience: Addressing climate change impacts, such as the deterioration of engineered earthworks.
