Based within the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences on the World Heritage site at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, you will be part of an expansion of our world-leading Multi-Disciplinary and Multi-Scale Modelling and a member of the Computational Science and Engineering Group. Joining the Expanding Excellence in England (E3) funded, M34Impact programme you will contribute to tackling major societal challenges affecting the environment, quality of life, safety, security, and the economy.
This role primarily lies within the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) theme of M34Impact and will cut across all research, enterprise and knowledge exchange activities
In this role you will strengthen our capacity to conduct high quality research and engage with industry in the areas of Materials Science, Advanced Manufacturing, Energy, Recycling and Sustainability. You will take a lead in research, enterprise and knowledge exchange activities, this includes securing new funding, mentoring junior staff members, advising M34Impact leadership and maintaining/developing relationships with existing partners.
The successful applicant is expected to have extensive relevant research experience with a strong track record of publication in peer reviewed international journals and a proven ability to generate significant research and knowledge exchange income. It is expected that they have an extensive network and reputation amongst the national and international academic and industrial community.
