Tim is a Senior Research Fellow at London South Bank University, whose research interests predominantly relate to thermal processing of food, reduction of food waste, energy efficiency and storage, and integrated heating and cooling.
In recent years his focus has been on two major EU funded projects; the FP7 project ‘Food Refrigeration Innovations for Safety, consumers’ Benefit, Environmental impact and Energy optimisation along the cold chain in Europe’ (FRISBEE) and the H2020 project ‘Developing Cryogenic Energy Storage at Refrigerated Warehouses as an Interactive Hub to Integrate Renewable Energy in Industrial Food Refrigeration and to Enhance PowerGrid Sustainability’ (CryoHub), as well as the UK Government funded project ‘interdisciplinary centre for Storage, Transformation and Upgrading of Thermal Energy’ (iSTUTE).
