Tasniva Rahman is an architect and researcher with a Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from Bangladesh and an MSc in Human Settlements (Urbanism and Strategic Planning) from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her doctoral research focused on the co-creation of urban landscapes for children and young women in densely populated neighbourhoods, exploring how spatial design can enhance urban experiences, social wellbeing, and community resilience.

Her research lies at the intersection of spatial design, sustainability, and community engagement, with particular interests in participatory approaches and neighbourhood-scale transitions. She is currently contributing to the Horizon Europe projects InterPED and Fedecom, focusing on citizen and community engagement in local energy communities. Her work examines how participatory approaches and energy literacy can facilitate the net zero transition and enable more sustainable, resilient, and socially inclusive energy systems.
