Steve Pye is a Senior Research Associate at UCL’s Energy Institute. Prior to joining the Energy Institute, Steve worked as a freelance consultant for 4 years (2009-2012), focusing on research in the sustainable energy and climate change field across a range of developing countries / regions, including East Africa, South Africa, Pakistan and South East Europe. Between 2001-2008, Steve worked at the energy- environment consultancy, AEA (now Ricardo-AEA), first focusing on air quality policy before switching to energy and climate change research. Prior to leaving, he led the energy modelling and policy area.
