I am a research fellow and PhD candidate at the University of Leeds. My research revolves around the question of how we can reduce energy consumption in developed countries in a socially sustainable manner.

In my current work I am investigating a number of different aspects of this overarching question, including the drivers of energy demand reduction in the UK, the relationship between energy use, labour productivity and structural change in the economy and the role of energy efficiency in economic growth. In pursuing these questions I employ a range of research methods, such as environmentally-extended input-output analysis, macroeconometric modelling as well as theoretical analysis.
