Kerry Turner CBE is a Professorial Research Fellow in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia and was the Director of CSERGE from 1996 to 2010. Kerry specialises in environmental economics, coastal zone and wetland management, conservation economics and waste management research. He has published widely (>300 publications) on these subjects including a number of best-selling texts. Kerry has been Chairman of the Broads Authority (a member of the National Park family), 2003-2008 and served on the East of England Regional Assembly and Sustainable Development Round Table. Kerry previously served on the Board of the National Rivers Authority and was the Chairman of the Office of Science and Technology’s, Foresight Panel on Natural Resources and the Environment until April 1999. Kerry has been a lead author with the IPCC Working Group II in the 1990’s and UNEPs Biodiversity Assessment Panel. He is currently a contributor to DEFRA’s National Ecosystem Assessment Initiative and several POST reports.
