Dr Joanne Wade is a sustainable energy expert with over 30 years’ experience in advocacy, consultancy and academia. She specialises in local energy systems, energy efficiency and sufficiency, and the green economy. Joanne is a Non-Executive Director at the Energy Saving Trust, a Supervisory Board member for UK Power Networks Distribution System Operator and a member of the Advisory Board for the Energy Demand Research Centre. She was previously Chief Strategic Advisor at the Association for Decentralised Energy, Chair of the Advisory Board for the Centre for Research on Energy Demand Solutions and Vice President of the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy. She is a Fellow and previous Council Member of the Energy Institute and a member of its Fellowship Panel. Joanne was appointed an OBE in 2018 for services to energy efficiency.
