Dr James Milner is Assistant Professor in the Centre on Climate Change and Planetary Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). His research involves modelling of environmental interventions and their impacts on human health, with a particular focus on the health effects of climate change mitigation actions in urban areas. He currently works on projects funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the Wellcome Trust, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Irish Government. He also contributes to the mitigation working group of the Lancet Countdown, which is tracking global progress on climate change and health.
