Emily is Head of Research and Evaluation at the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE), a Bristol-based charity working to tackle fuel poverty and the climate emergency. She is a social scientist with expertise on energy and climate transitions, public attitudes and perceptions, social justice, and carbon removal. She has 15 years’ research experience, as well as teaching climate and energy policy and social psychology at degree level. Emily joined CSE in 2025 from Oxford University, with a track record of successfully managing interdisciplinary projects to deliver impactful research outcomes. She has published in top journals including Nature, and her research has been cited more than 2000 times and reported by outlets such as New Scientist and Carbon Brief.
