Research Associate in Sustainable Futures, Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR)
Dr Phil Northall is a Research Associate in the Sustainable Futures cluster at the Centre for Regional Economic & Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University. Phil is engaged on a range of research projects investigating a just transition to low carbon economies, with a focus on jobs, skills and supply chain opportunities, as well as community engagement and participation in this transition.
Phil’s background is in urban geography and his research interests lie in the local governance of innovation for sustainability. His PhD, completed in 2020 at the University of Nottingham, explored local authorities’ use of sharing economy platforms to address local sustainability goals.
