Dr Katherine Sugar is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Katherine has a particular interest in low carbon and inclusive transitions in cities, with a focus on local energy business and financial practice. Her recent work at the University of Edinburgh includes the social evaluation of recent local authority-led energy efficiency pilot projects, as part of the Scottish Government’s Energy Efficient Scotland programme.
Katherine has completed a PhD in Geography from University of Glasgow, with a postgraduate MSc in Ecological Economics from University of Edinburgh, and an undergraduate MA Hons in Geography with Polish Language from University of Glasgow. She also has experience working in the energy sector as a project manager of renewable energy projects.
