Dr Aliya Tskhay is a Research Associate at the Centre for Energy Policy (CEP) at University of Strathclyde. She holds a PhD in International Relations from University of St Andrews. Dr Tskhay has over a decade of research experience on energy policies and energy transition in Central Asia, the UK and Europe. Most recently, she worked on understanding barriers and opportunities in implementation of low- and zero-carbon technologies in Scotland.
On top of her academic publications, she often contributes to media outlets, podcasts and op-eds, as an expert on energy geopolitics and cooperation in Eurasia. Dr Tskhay’s expertise was sought out by various international organisations and institutions, and she regularly engages in knowledge exchange activities with policy-makers and industry leaders.
