UKERC EDI Champion appointed

Heather is UKERC’s EDI Champion. In this role she ensures that UKERC is held accountable accountable to the pledges made in it’s EDI Plan. Heather works closely with our Engagement Officer Amber Sawyer and the soon to be appointed EDI and Impact Officer to champion EDI across UKERC’s activities.
Heather will also work closely with our Engagement Officer Amber Sawyer and the soon to be appointed EDI and Impact Officer to champion EDI across UKERC’s activities.
Heather also works as a Project Manager for the Energy, Environment and Landscapes theme at Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML). Heather joined PML as a Project Manager in 2020 and is involved in the organisation of several projects. She gained her PhD in coral bleaching in 2020. Prior to this, Heather has led and conducted research expeditions in the tropics interspersed throughout her BSc (Hons) in Geography with Ocean Science, MSc in Tropical Marine Biology and PhD degrees.
